BAFTA Games Awards 2020 nominaties zijn in: Controle, Death Stranding en Disco Elysium domineren

De BAFTA Games Awards 2020 genomineerde lijst is vrijgegeven voorafgaand aan de awards show op 2 april. De awards vieren de “allerbeste in games” van het afgelopen jaar, met enkele van de grootste recente games in de line-up. Met allerlei verschillende categorieën die de verscheidenheid aan verschillende prestaties in de wereld van videogames benadrukken, zijn er een aantal werkelijk prachtige releases die volgende maand met een BAFTA-trofee naar huis zouden kunnen gaan.

En de prijsuitreiking wordt een grote voor Hideo Kojima. Death Stranding is niet alleen genomineerd in verschillende categorieën, maar BAFTA reikt Kojima uit met de Fellowship Award, BAFTA’s hoogste individuele eer. Andere ontvangers van deze specifieke prijs zijn onder meer Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto, Doublefine-oprichter Tim Schafer en Valve’s mede-oprichter Gabe Newell, om er maar een paar te noemen..

In de prijzen van vorig jaar nam God of War de felbegeerde prijs voor Beste Game mee naar huis, samen met andere winnaars, waaronder Fortnite voor Evolving Game, Florence voor Mobile Game, en Nintendo Labo twee prijzen voor Family Game en Game Innovation.

Er zijn dit jaar een aantal fantastische games genomineerd en elke categorie biedt een aantal zware concurrentie. Zonder verder oponthoud, hier is elke game genomineerd voor de BAFTA 2020 Game Awards:
